Have been winding down a bit the last few days and not putting a lot of touring on our agenda as we are coming up to a three day drive to Melbourne plus all the hurly burly of Christmas.
We went into Adelaide Central markets with Leone and met up with David for a bite to eat and a look around. The market is one of Australia’s largest fresh produce markets providing a wide range of fresh and multi-cultural products. It is also a popular tourist attraction in the heart of Adelaide. We wandered around for an hour and then decided we’d seen and done what we needed and headed home.
We have put together a bit of a survival pack for our upcoming road trips as wanting to keep some of the costs down plus be better in control of our diet. It is very difficult to eat sensibly when travelling but if we don’t do something about it now, they will be able to float us back to Canada! God forbid what is going to happen over Christmas.
We took ourselves off to see the Freddie Mercury movie Bohemian Rhapsody down at the local picture theatre where Leone does a few shifts each week. She was super generous and slipped us a couple of frozen chocolate ice creams which are the biggest we have ever encountered. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie and reminisced when the music was played. The 1980’s were our decade of music which we are still pretty much stuck in and though not a huge Queen fan at the time, certainly appreciate it now. He was such a one off and such a pity he died so young.
