So going forward, we are not sure if there is that much that will be of interest to blog about. We will play it one day at a time and when we go out exploring, we will definitely create a blog for that.
We allowed ourselves a sleep in for the first time in two weeks. We both felt so exhausted and even Toque didn’t stir until 10.00am.

So, the park is for 55+ and over but children are allowed to visit but from what we can gather, are not to stay. It is full of people from the northern states of the US and of course lots of Canadians. It is very well supervised with lots of security and many activities to get involved in.

We spent our first day settling into our rental unit and finding our way around the park. There are two swimming pools which both have lap pools in them and many hot tubs. The water in the lap pools is just below boiling temperature which is going to make for interesting swimming. Goodness knows how hot the water is in the hot tub.

Here is a layout map of the park. There are 1700 units of which 300-400 have year-round residents in them. The rest of course are snowbirds. Many people have golf carts to get around, whilst others bike or walk. You are allowed pets but they are heavily supervised so Toque isn’t going to be able to join us for a lot of activities. She is going to have to stay behind and chill out. She has met Cooper a fellow Havanese across the road from our unit, so maybe she might be able to chill out with him now and then.

We have met three sets of neighbours already and everyone is most helpful. We have been given some bikes to make our way around which we have found is very convoluted and you wouldn’t want to have had a few bevvies and get yourself lost. Tomorrow we start getting involved!!
Welcome to VO. Our motto: if you die of boredom here, it’s your own damned fault.
