It was just a touch on the cool side this morning. Breakfast partaken and then headed out of Utrecht by 8.45am.

It is indeed a pretty city situated amongst the canals and presents its particular challenges to the local council in tasks such as picking up refuse. Unfortunately, was not able to capture the floating garbage truck on camera but the logistics were complicated.
There were indeed a number of bridges that we had to negotiate including ones where Wolfgang had to lower the fly bridge to be able to get under.
The city had not woken up which meant traffic was slow on the water so were able to negotiate our way out of the center of town in just under an hour. It was then it into the beautiful countryside.

Lots of birds around with their spring young and not to mention flys, midges and spiders!!!

The temperature got to 25c today but inside the boat it gets a lot hotter so we congregate up on the top deck under the shade.

We pulled into the small town of Oudwater where we will stay the night. It is a quaint Dutch village, once again centered around the canals. We were seeking out water for the boat as we have almost gone through the supply on board. We found a tap but have misplaced the special adaptor so now in search of another friendly boater who will loan us one. There is always something that you need to be doing when mucking around in boats as we learnt on the English canals.
