Celebration day for us today – it is 22 years since we moved to Canada and we are celebrating it in Europe, as you do.
Today was about catching up with washing etc and making sure that we have all of our Bessarabia item to get us through this bike ride comfortably.
Being creatures of habit, we headed back to cathedral square and met up with Remi our favourite waiter and sat down for an indulgent breakfast.
Jen, Fras, Di and Al then had a further wander around the old city and by now it was starting to get very busy and very warm. We then made our way inside the cathedral before the heaving throngs of tourists descended upon the place but already it ultra busy. The church had magnificent lead light windows but everything was so dark because it was dirty and in separate need of a good clean. Inside the we located the astronomical clock which it is well know for and dates back to the 14th century.

Jen and Fras wanted to visit the Strasbourg Historical Museum which to the rest of us turned into a Hysterical interpretation of Strasbourg.
Oh dear!!!!!!
After what seemed like an interminable wait until 11.30am, it did it’s thing and to say it was underwhelming is an understatement.
We then all headed back to our hotel and did the final packing by bouncing up and down on our bags to get them to close. This is indeed is a worry as we are only the third day into our 38 day trip.
Linda, Gabby, Neal and Randa had been staying at another hotel about three kilometers from us so we had arranged to meet them at the MS Olympia, our boat, at 4.00pm.

It is proving very difficult to get a photo with the eight of us together.

A few of us are still struggling with the jet lag plus it go to a high of 29c, so some of us faded early, whilst others of us continued up to the top deck to play a game of Five Crowns. Gabby was the victor so he will now have a target on his back.
